I’ve started this blog probably a hundred times in my head.

I’ve thought about what the first post should say, how it should sound, and whether I should make it polished and professional.

But the truth is, DASSA is still at the beginning.

So maybe the best place to start is simply by telling you how I got here.

DASSA started with an idea I couldn't quite let go of.

I’ve always loved the feeling of getting dressed for somewhere warm. A beach day. A weekend away. Dinner outside when the sun is going down. Those moments when you don't need a complicated outfit—you just want something that feels beautiful, comfortable, and like you.

I wanted to create a women's boutique inspired by that feeling.

Something influenced by coastal fashion, warm weather, travel, and those effortless outfits you reach for again and again.

And that's how DASSA began.

Starting Small, Dreaming Big

Right now, DASSA is small. Really small.

I'm not starting with a giant warehouse full of inventory or a huge team behind me. I'm starting with an idea, a lot of excitement, a little bit of fear, and a whole lot of faith that this can become something special.

Every piece I choose is part of that beginning.

I'm looking for women's clothing that feels effortless but still makes you feel good when you put it on. Pieces that can work for a beach vacation, a weekend getaway, dinner with friends, or simply a day when you want to feel a little more put together.

That's what I love about coastal style. It doesn't have to be complicated.

The First Pieces of DASSA

The Basima Dress Sequin was one of the pieces that immediately caught my attention. It has that little something extra. It's fun, feminine, and made for those moments when you want to feel a little dressed up without making it complicated.

Then there's the Long Sleeve Button-Up Shirt—the kind of piece I love because it can go almost anywhere. Wear it open over a simple outfit, throw it over your beach look, or button it up and keep things classic.

These pieces may be simple, but that's exactly what I'm looking for as I build DASSA: women's clothing that feels versatile, effortless, and easy to make your own.

I want DASSA to feel like that favorite little boutique you discover while wandering around town—the one where you find something unexpected and immediately start imagining where you'll wear it.

And because this is my first blog post, I want to be honest about something else.

I have no idea exactly where this is going yet.

I'm figuring it out as I go.

There will be new collections, new ideas, probably a few mistakes, and hopefully a lot of beautiful moments along the way.

And I thought it would be fun to bring you with me.

So this blog won't just be about clothes.

I'll be sharing the behind-the-scenes of building DASSA, discovering new women's fashion, styling outfits, finding inspiration, traveling, and everything that comes with trying to turn an idea into something real.
